Autumn Workshops

Geared for the beginning stamper. Learn more than enough to produce stunning, elegant projects; possibly all you would ever need! Techniques include stamping with a pad, chalks, ink to paper, watercolors, backgrounds, glitter, thermal embossing, cropping, and mounting. Starter kit is yours to keep.

Introducing many more techniques to support and enhance those taught in the Basic Class. Includes: how to use background stamps with shadow inks, stamping on non-porous surfaces, masking and reverse masking, reverse stamping. Also covered: watercolor pencils, direct to stamp markers, eyelet setting, more paper techniques, dimensional techniques, introduction to the amazing twinkling H20’s and chalk inks. See in-store for samples of class projects. Basic stamping is required.

Pearl-ex powders are a fine mica dust that we will apply using a variety of techniques including versamark, spackling, stamping, painting and sponging. These powders are so versatile, the ideas never stop. Working with Pearl-Ex will open an entirely new window in the world of stamping techniques.

This is not your average watercolor class!!! Something for everyone from the beginner to the advanced stamp artist. Starting with watercolor basics we will move through glimmer, shimmer, waterbrushing, spritzing, alcohol ink painting, mineral spirits, and oh… the watercolor pencil… used in ways you may never have thought possible. So many interesting tips and techniques and products will be explored it’s going to be hard to fit it into one class. Stamping experience required.

What a gift to give this Christmas!!! This project-oriented class is for the experienced stamper or scrapbooker! We will create a personalized calendar – that’s right, a whole year represented by paper, stamps, ink, embellishments, photos, sentiments and your special touch. Each page has a unique design complemented by your style and photographs. If photos are not available you may substitute with stamps from our studio. Come in and see our amazing samples, these will be our template for the class. Lunch break will be taken at 12:00 (lunch not provided).

Take the stress out of distressing. Old, distressed, vintage, aged, whatever the term you use we’ll find a stamping technique to make all things new look more aged and interesting. The distressing techniques used in this class are simple and quick but result in amazing effects. Distress inks and tools, distress paints, crackle paint combined with vintage style stamping. We’ll practice each technique on jumbo tags that will form a book for you to take away for an at home reference. Stamping experience required.

This class teaches a variety of techniques using these acid-free, fast drying, transparent dye inks. We use slick, non-absorbent surfaces such as; glossy paper, metal, plastic and glass to create a marbled or polished stone effect. Alcohol inks are specially formulated to blend together; they are highly adaptable. The cards created with alcohol inks will be among the most beautiful you ever produce… GUARANTEED!!

Learn how to use your stamps off your paper - in this project oriented class Melanie will guide you through the experience of hand-making your own gorgeous necklaces. Two complete necklaces will be created each one uniquely decorated to match your personal style. Coordinating cards and gift boxes will also be made for your gift-giving needs. Stamping experience required.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Payment is required AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.  Taxes included. 
Classes will be cancelled 2 days ahead if registration is low (< 4 people).
A 24 hour cancellation notice is required for a course credit or transfer.
A 48 hour cancellation is required for a refund.
Participants choosing not to attend without any notice to the store will forfeit class fees and all supply kits provided in classes. Class transfers will not be accomodated - no exceptions.
